Letter to Mr. Billing [manuscript]. [ca. 1845]

Signed, undated, handwritten letter, written in England, from Governor Edward John Eyre to Mr Billing, artist, about sketches of weapons to be used in a plate for publication in one of Eyre's books about Australia. The book referred to is probably a future edition of Expeditions into Central Australia and overland from Adelaide to King George's Sound, 1840-2, 2 vols. (1845). The letter paper is watermarked 1845. Eyre revisited England from Jamaica in 1845.
